Paint It?

So, the cabinet came in for the bathroom.  I love it.  Except it doesn’t look white white like it did on the website.  It looks like that pickled white.

I’m thinking of painting it with white paint to go better with the cabinetry in the bathroom.  It stands out for the wrong reasons when I look at it right now.

What do you think?  My gut tells me painting it would be the thing to do.

Kathy, if you paint it and maybe make all the knobs match, it will look like it's original to the bathroom. It's a great piece!

I would paint it (but you know that I would paint it with some whimsy….maybe the inside a different color than the outside, or some stripes or harlequin…oh the possibilities are endless) It is such a cute piece that it really needs to be the focal point and stand out - - and it fits perfectly in the space!!

great cabinet, it gives you so much more storage in there. I agree, paint will make it blend in, and if you could find the same knobs, that would be even better!

I think painting it would be a great idea. Maybe do the inside gray to make it look like it came with the house? I scrolled back to catch up...everything looks so pretty! You must be SO happy with the results. I love your bunnies, too. I usually get one or two bunnies a year, and coincidentally, Pier 1 comes out with a new one every spring. I saw in their catalog yesterday and I'm trying to resist the urge to run right over there!! :)

Hi Kathy, yes it is a gorgeous piece and fits so nicely but I would for sure paint it to go with the side cabinets.
Match up hardware would pull it all together.
Have fun

I agree that it should be painted! I know it's a bummer to paint a new piece that you thought would blend with your cabinets though. I know you and whatever you decide to do will be spectacular! It's a great piece though!

I vote for paint! I like the idea of maybe doing the inside a different color.

A nice looking cabinet, and I think I would paint it too. I think when it is painted it will look like it belongs with the other pieces.

Youre not going to be happy with it until you paint it! you wont think that it fits in until its painted.. so I say, hurry up and paint it so you can fill it up, take pictures and come back to show us! LOL!
happy Tuesday!

What a lovely cabinet - but I completely agree that paint would help it either blend in...or stand out in a good way.

Guess you can tell I'm catching up with you today! :) That's a great cabinet and I would definitely paint it to blend in with the existing cabinetry. I also second the idea of making sure that all the knobs match.
